Ambient Weather
Ambient Weather
The Ambient Weather skill provides Ambient Weather personal weather station owners with the ability to get real-time, and past weather information generated by the devices they have set up at To get started: say "OK Google, talk to Ambient Weather" to invoke the Ambient Weather app. Or, say "Ask Ambient Weather to give me a report" in order to get a detailed recap of the current temperature. Once the Ambient Weather app is initiated, you can use commands like "Give me a weather report." or "What are the current conditions". Both of these commands (along with a many others) will provide you with your outdoor weather report. You can also ask for your indoor weather report as well by invoking the Ambient Weather app in the same way, then saying, "what are the indoor conditions?", or "What's it like inside?" You can also ask for a report about a specific day, month or year! Just say "Give me a report for June 14th", "What was the weather yesterday?", or "What was the weather in May?" Just remember, before giving your Google Home device any commands, initialize the app by saying "OK Google, talk to Ambient Weather".

No info on starting it up. It links, but just keeps saying station isn't reporting. But station IS reporting to Alexa....just saying. And to the web. And to everything else. Have tried linking and unlinking. Ugly fail.

Works great, but yes, I too would like to be able to ask for just one reading that I care about (most often the temp).

i was able to link my weather station to google home fairly easy by asking the assistant on my phone to "ask ambient weather for a report." the reply was that it would need to link my ambient weather account first and then it asked for permission to do so. once granted, the rest took about 15 seconds - et voila! a weather report. i gave this feature a rating of 3 because, like a previous reviewer said, it doesn't seem that there's a way to get just one or two readings from the station... just this terribly long string of readings by a robotic voice from every component on the station... i actually told it to stop at one point because it started to get annoying. here's hoping this service evolves quickly!

I think it's great that Google can read all of that info. I wish there was a way just to ask for pieces... humidity levels... just the rain info for the day, week or month...

I was able to link it correctly. It was a little tricky but after an a hour and a half, I got it. If you want you can EM me (info at esp dash inc dot US Just start at the info and sound it out) and I'll try and help the best I can. When you do link it, I admit it... It's the coolest add on for the Ambient Weather Station (WS-101). As I little note - you need to own a compatible Ambient Weather Station. There are a lot of commands you probability don't know and too long to list. When I think I have them all, I'll post them somewhere and give out the link here. Also let me know if you are using a SmartHUB (Smartthings, ect.) (Maybe I should publish....)
