Ring
2.8
Ring, the smart home security system that lets you watch over your property from anywhere, now works with Google! Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cameras let you monitor your home from your phone, tablet or PC. Ring sends you instant mobile alerts as soon as motion is detected. When you answer the alert with the free Ring app, you can see, hear and speak to people on your property from anywhere. Now, you can also connect your Ring to Google Home, so you can access your device with your voice! With the Ring Assistant App, you can ask Google to start a new recording, turn on and off your motion alerts, get a health update on your devices and review your last Ring notification. To get started, simply link your Ring devices to your Google account, and manage your devices with Google Assistant.

Links and are able to check Ring doorbell health but does not show up on my devices to assign to a room. Google instructions to connect Google home and Chromecast are useless and is hard to figure out. I imagine now that Amazon owns To g, it makes it hard to connect. Being able to smoothly connect is awful. I wanted to go with Nest Hello but their plans are expensive and Ring has them beat. Sorry google, as a Google lover I am, I have to go with Ring. Please don't let let me end up going Amazon due their differences.

Despite what it says, does not allow linking between Ring and Google Home even for these basic useless functions. This was probably done on purpose and we the customers are just minor casualties.

Refuses to let me link to Google home. I dont know if this is a Google thing or an Amazon thing but you're both assholes and you need to let consumers use their devices in w.e way they see fit.

Since Ring is an Amazon product full integration will not be available. Assistant does have an integration with the app for commands but that is it and is like many other home automation products. If you want a fully integrated solution then buy a Google Hello Doorbell.
