Welcome to Hive. With this action you can ask Google Assistant to control your connected Hive devices. Using only your voice, you can control your Hive Active Thermostat, Lights and Plugs. To get started, simply enable the action, then follow the instructions to link your Hive account and sync your devices. Here’s a handy list of commands you can use with Google Assistant and Hive to control your home: Hive Active Thermostat OK Google, set the living room to 20 degrees OK Google, turn up the living room OK Google, turn down the living room OK Google, what’s the temperature in the living room? OK Google, what’s the living room set to? Hive Lights OK Google, turn on the bedroom OK Google, turn off the bedroom OK Google, brighten the bedroom OK Google, dim the bedroom OK Google, change the bedroom to pink OK Google, change the bedroom to warm white Hive light groups created in the Hive app can be controlled in the same way as other lights with Google Assistant. Hive Plug OK Google, turn on the coffee machine OK Google, turn off the coffee machine Quick Actions (Scenes) Quick Actions created in the Hive app can be controlled with Google Assistant. You’ll find them on the Scenes tab of the Home Control section in the Google Assistant app. OK Google, turn on quick heat everywhere (where your Quick Action is named “quick heat everywhere”) OK Google, activate bedtime (where your Quick Action is named “bedtime”) OK Google, start movie time (where your Quick Action is named “movie time”) When using the action, you’ll need to specify the name of the device, group or quick action (scene) you want to control. You can easily rename these in the Hive app. Using simple names, such as “Living Room” or “Kitchen”, will work best with Google Assistant. If you make any changes, remember to ask Google to “sync devices”. In order to use Hive with Google Assistant, you’ll need: - A Hive account with your username and password. - Hive Hub or Hive Hub 360. - One or more of the following Hive devices: Hive Active Thermostat, Hive Light or Hive Plug.
