Your favorite entertainment is just a few words away. Ask Google to find movies and shows, pause, fast forward, launch channels, and more on your Roku devices.
Examples of how you can use Google to control media playback on your Roku devices:

If you have a Roku TV, you can also ask Google to do things like:

With Roku Smart Home, you can easily control your lights, plugs, cameras and doorbells with your voice. Additionally, you can ask Google to do things like:
“Hey Google, turn on or off ”
“Ok Google, set to 50%”
“Hey Google, turn on or off ”
** Launching a channel on your Roku device using Google Assistant works for more than 100 top channels on the Roku platform. However, the launch channel command does not work with all channels on the Roku platform at this time.
*** You must have Fast TV Start enabled on your Roku TV to use Google to turn on your TV.
**** You must have an HDTV antenna connected to your Roku TV to use Google to change channels on your TV tuner.
*****Google Nest display or Google TV with remote is required.
How to get started:
It’s simple to control use Google Assistant to control your Roku devices. Just follow these steps:
Download the Google Home app
Launch and configure the Google Home app
Tap “+” in the upper left corner
Tap “Set up device”
Tap “Works with Google”
Find the Roku listing & log in with your Roku account
Google Assistant will automatically sync and populate a list of the devices from your Roku account.
Follow the on-screen instructions (Your Google Assistant email address does not need to be the same as your Roku account email address.)
You can now control Roku TV & Roku Smart Home devices via the Google Home app or with your voice on Google Assistant-enabled devices.
NOTE: If you own multiple Roku devices, you have the option to select some or all your Roku devices you would like to control with Google.
You must have a supported Roku device running Roku OS 8.1 or above and a Roku account to use this action. The Google skill on Roku Smart Home devices is only supported in the US.
