Haiku Home lets you use Google Assistant and Google Home devices to control your Haiku® fans and lights. In order for this to work, you must already have installed and opened the Haiku Home mobile app, created and signed into a Haiku Home account in the app, and added your Haiku devices using the Haiku Home app.
Haiku Home for Google Assistant works with all Wi-Fi enabled Haiku devices including Haiku Indoor Fans, Haiku L Fans with Wi-Fi modules installed, Haiku Standard Lights featuring adjustable brightness, and Haiku Premier Lights featuring adjustable brightness and color temperature.
To get started, in the Google Home app, use Home / Add / Setup Device / Works with Google to enter the Manage Accounts screen and search for and select the Haiku Home action. When prompted, enter your Haiku Home account login and password, and authorize Google to access your Haiku Home account. Shortly after, you will see a screen to assign your Haiku fans and lights to Rooms. After that, your Haiku devices will be displayed in the Home screen of the Google Home app.
In the Haiku Home app, rooms are created by default when Haiku fans or lights are added to your network. As new Haiku devices are added, the app adds them to existing rooms or to new rooms that you create for them. These room names are displayed on the Home screen of the Haiku Home app.
Being in a room means that all Haiku fans or lights in that room are controlled together. Turning on any one fan or light in a room turns on ALL fans and lights in the same room. For example, saying, "OK Google, turn on Kitchen Light One," will turn on ALL lights in the Haiku Home room named "Kitchen."
For convenience, we recommend creating Google Home Rooms that match the rooms in your Haiku Home app. Just add the same Haiku devices to those Google Home Rooms. After that it's just like using the Haiku Home app to control your rooms, except you are using your voice!
