As much as I qualified as an accountant I almost didn't, I had become so frustrated & disillusioned with the slow progress I was making that I seriously considered quitting but I didn't thanks to a mentor who came out of a surprising place. Not only did he help me rediscover my passion and love for helping businesses and people grow, he also helped me remember why I wanted to become an accountant in the first place. Re-energised I went onto have a fun, rewarding & successful career working with the numbers; I've met and collaborated with many fantastic colleagues; and been guided and shaped by many great mentors whom have all helped me achieve my career goals, except for one, that is to help others in accounting & finance on a much larger scale, and so was born the Strength in the Numbers show, with two objectives: 1. To provide practical guidance and resources on how to have fun, rewarding and meaningful careers in finance & accounting; and 2.
